Uncoated Paper Spot UV Varnish
Uncoated paper spot UV varnish is one of the few printing effects that can make printing on design papers particularly impressive.
Essential Guide to Uncoated Paper Spot UV Varnish
Uncoated paper UV varnish is the only way to apply printing effects to uncoated papers (design papers). In this area, only 3 printing effects are possible: regular uncoated paper UV varnish, spot UV varnish, and raised uncoated paper spot UV varnish. It's also possible to add pearl or glitter to the varnish.
Uncoated papers are liquid-absorbing paper types. That's why this is the only possible effect to use in this situation. Technologically, this is achieved by formulating uncoated paper spot UV varnishes with a gel-like composition that doesn't get absorbed into the material before curing in the UV oven.
Glossy spot varnish for uncoated paper is used primarily on all uncoated papers except digital prints.
