Matte UV coating is designed to protect printed materials that will be handled by multiple people. This includes magazine and book covers, as well as promotional materials (for example, hair color or shampoo flyers in a hair salon).

As the name suggests, matte UV coating gives the entire surface a non-reflective finish.

Matte coating is used when you want to avoid a shiny surface on your printed materials.

Note: Since digital prints are chemically highly reactive, this method cannot be used for digital printing; however, lamination is a suitable alternative.

Post-processing of UV Coating

If you want to add printing effects to your printed material, only post-processable gloss UV coating is suitable.
