File Preparation

To ensure premium quality, we verify that all texts and other elements are properly vectorized.

Fonts should be outlined before printing, even if they are available digitally. Even when dealing with standard fonts, we've prepared this artistic example to demonstrate proper file preparation:

Fun Fact: This poster contains 26 colors and took 15 working days to complete, including the silk screen printing process and drying time.

How to check if all elements are vectorized?

If you can change the color of all elements separately, and can endlessly scale up the quality without losing sharpness, then it's properly vectorized.

3mm bleed

Bleed is necessary to prevent white edges after cutting. Even with 0.05mm precision cutting, the white paper edge may still be visible. Therefore, the design must extend beyond the trim line by the amount of bleed.

Large Images

When adding images to print files, ensure they have high resolution. Stretching a small image to a larger size is not recommended.

Special Effects

Special effects include silk screen printing, spot UV, 3D varnish, foil, and more... Each effect must be placed on a separate PDF layer. The background must be white and the effect (spot color) must be marked black with the corresponding Pantone code.

Mark Cuts with Red Line

If you want the print to be die-cut in a specific way, mark the cutting line in red. The same applies to rounded corners.

File Organization

  1. Preview
  2. Cut lines
  3. Digital print
  4. Effect 1
  5. Effect 2
  6. Effect 3...

Each layer or page in the file naming should indicate the desired effect, and for silk screen printing, include the Pantone code.

If you don't have a Pantone catalog available, you can find help here.

For larger files, we recommend sharing through Google Drive or sending us a link.
