Matte Lamination

Matte lamination transforms the entire surface of any printed material to a non-reflective finish. Additionally, matte lamination provides protection against external influences.

Matte Lamination Comes in 2 Types

  1. Standard Matte Lamination
  2. Scratch-Resistant Matte Lamination

Standard matte lamination is 25% more affordable and is designed for applications such as covering inner pages in magazines or books. For covers or promotional materials that will be frequently handled or used, it's worth investing in scratch-resistant matte lamination rather than trying to save money.

Both types of matte lamination are ideal for post-processing with various printing effects such as i-Foil or UV spot varnish (except for uncoated paper UV spot varnish).

A specialized laminate is available for digital prints, where the inks are highly reactive and often develop a waxy surface layer to which standard laminate adheres less effectively. Digital lamination features a stronger adhesive layer specifically for this purpose.
