What printing and design options are available?

Details are what count!

We offer a wide range of designs where you'll surely find the right one for your product. Learn more about some options here:

3D VARNISH AND I-FOIL

We bring your image or text to life with multiple layers and make it embossed, making it tactile. Our digital device can produce normal and highly embossed UV spot varnish, including for digital printing when covered with a surface-active laminate.

The 3D varnish layer can be covered with i-foil in 12 different foil tones. This highlights various details like logos or other design elements. The varnish is digitally applied to pre-printed coated paper or laminate.
The paper should be coated, preferably matte laminated. Our Sense laminate provides ideal results. While offering stronger gloss, note that thick varnish layers may break when folding or scoring, making spot varnish unsuitable for magazines/book spines and edges.
Standard embossed or 3D varnish can be covered with gold or silver foil. The minimum varnish layer thickness for I-foil is 30 microns. File creation is simple in Adobe programs - we can provide an English manual upon request.

Maximum size: 520 × 1050 mm; minimum: 210 × 300 mm. Paper weight: 135 g/m² minimum (I-foil 150) - 600 g/m² maximum. 3D varnish height up to 200 microns, optimal at 70 microns. Up to 10 layers of different heights possible, though 1-3 are optimal. Layer height differences must be at least 30 microns for perception.

UV SPOT VARNISH

Spot varnish highlights specific details or partially varnishes images using screen printing technique. Usually colorless, but tinted varnishes are available. For special shine, glitter or pearl powder can be added. Applications range from business cards and corporate prints to exclusive books. Most effective on matte paper, ideal on matte laminate. Paper must be coated as varnish seeps into uncoated paper. Special varnish exists for uncoated papers but costs more. Spot varnish layer is about 4 times thicker than flexo varnish. While providing stronger gloss, thick layers may break when folding, making it unsuitable for magazine/book spines. Available in matte, glossy (separate for uncoated papers), embossed, bubble, luminescent, and fluorescent versions.
Maximum size: 520 x 720 mm

UV FULL VARNISH

UV full varnish is a thin varnish layer. Our Revaprint facility offers glossy, matte, and foil-compatible glossy varnishes.

Technical specifications suggest issues below 130g/m². While we've varnished 60-gram paper, there's risk of wrinkling. Paper must be gloss-coated. Varnish absorbs into silk and matte paper (offset varnish sometimes helps).

Colors
Inks must be UV varnish compatible with minimal or no wax content. Prints need sufficient drying time: 24-72 hours depending on temperature and humidity. Cooler temperatures significantly increase drying time.

Drying especially crucial for metallic colors and large solid surfaces. Metallic, fluorescent, and reflex blue can be problematic. Layer thickness is critical for metallic and fluorescent inks.

Fluorescent inks' high pigment content can absorb varnish, creating rough surfaces. Extended drying helps somewhat.

UV varnish may alter color tones (especially those with reflex blue pigment).

Printing powder amount and grain size affect results. Our machine partially collects powder; excess creates matte spots or rough surfaces, sometimes requiring reprinting.

DIGITAL PRINTING

We print on standard digital paper through thick 300g embossed design papers and paper stickers. We also digitally print PVC roll stickers, available as full surface or die-cut images.
Quality work requires high-quality PDF files with text converted to images.

The basis of high-quality work is, of course, a high-quality print file in PDF format, in which the text parts have also been transferred to an image.

The majority of customers order digitally printed business cards, product sticker labels, invitations, Christmas and other cards, and advertising leaflets.

SILK PRINTING

Screen printing is a printing method where ink is applied to the printable material through a fine mesh (silk) stretched on a frame. Areas that should not allow ink through are covered with emulsion.

Why choose screen printing? Screen printing allows achieving pure 100% guaranteed Pantone color tones with better paper coverage than offset printing. Various materials can be used, varying in thickness, shape, and structure. Our main materials are paper and stickers. PVC stickers printed with screen printing can withstand temperature fluctuations and various weather conditions. Screen printing has a thicker ink layer, enabling good results on uncoated dark papers. It's possible to print metallic, gold, silver, etc. We use Pantone color scale inks or CMYK color separation for images, with a screen density of 60LPI. We accept ready-made sheet films (pre-coordinated with us) positive emulsion up.

The advantages of screen printing are:

Its coverage and achievement of clean full surfaces even on very difficult-to-print materials and surfaces (ask our specialists if you want to use special materials). For reprints, we preserve your color for years and guarantee 100% same tone for every order.

Weather, UV, and physical durability that can last up to 5 years. Revaprint prints, for example, security company door stickers, object stickers, container stickers, traffic sign control stickers, etc., which must last and withstand physical contact, cleaning, etc.

Special effects can be added in 80% of cases only with screen printing technology. Options include gold, silver, pearl, glitter, lottery ink, and more. See more details under special effects.

For printing from a file, the basis for quality work is naturally a high-quality print file in PDF format, where text parts are also converted to images.

SPECIAL EFFECTS

Reva Print is known in Estonia and neighboring countries as a special effects printing house. A large portion of book and magazine covers, menus, packages, invitation cards, and business cards printed in various printing houses receive some fancy effects from our partner printing house. Their clients include all printing houses from Estonia and the surrounding area. For special and design papers, plastics, stickers (which usually cannot be printed with offset or digital printing), the printing house naturally handles the entire process from start to finish. Revaprint has also printed on special materials such as wood veneer, roofing sheet metal, aluminum, etc.

Get familiar with the most common effects:

Spot UV Coating - Available in glossy, matte, and embossed bubble coating

Spot UV Coating with Glitter - Universal glitter mixes compatible with all tones are available in stock: silver, gold, greenish, holographic silver and gold. For example, many of the sparkling postcards sold in stores got their sparkle from us.

Spot UV Coating with Pearl - Works exactly like mother of pearl on white and light surfaces. Turns silver on cool tones, golden on warm tones

Tinted Spot UV Coating - We can tint it according to your wishes

Luminescent Spot UV Coating - After charging in light for a couple of hours, it glows in the dark for up to 12 hours depending on charging time

Fluorescent Spot UV Coating - Coating that glows purple or yellow under money/UV lamp for creating security elements for gift cards, money cards, exhibition name tags, invitations, etc. Additionally, it can be used in nightclubs where blue UV lamps are used on the ceiling, to cover menus, making it easier for customers to read them in the dark.

Since 2014, we offer ready-made patterns for covering any printed material in its entirety. Three different patterns are available: Leather pattern (with glossy, matte, or embossed coating), Haapsalu lace (with glossy, matte, or embossed coating), Linen fabric (with glossy and matte coating). This is an ideal solution for book and magazine covers, and advertising materials for immediate addition, as it's readily available at the printing house.

Opaque White Printing - Our white ink allows printing even on very dark papers and surfaces. Often, white prints that have failed in other printing technologies can still be improved by overprinting at our facility at certain stages. Actually, it's the coverage of screen printing inks that allows printing on dark materials and colors.

Gold and Silver Printing - The printing house has both standard silver and gold. We also have sparkling silver and gold. The latter was used, for example, for printing the Estonian President's invitations.

Covering previously printed images with lottery scratch-off ink - Silver is available. The underlying text - win/loss must be printed in halftone, surrounded by a pattern, and the surface must be previously covered with full coating, ideally with lamination (before adding scratch-off ink).

Since we own an industrial automatic line, we can cover other printing houses' prints with not only regular matte and glossy lamination but also scratch-resistant matte and Sense silky surface matte lamination. We also have glossy lamination with embossed linen fabric pattern.

NB! Since we use only the highest quality materials for both full coating and lamination, you can apply the previously mentioned effects to them and post-process the treated prints (cut, fold, glue, print, etc.)

We can demonstrate all options to you in person. This way you can see and feel different materials yourself. Write us an email: info@brandcafe.ee or see our detailed contacts here.
